NIA installs irrigation pump in La Trinidad, Benguet

Irrigation water was able to reach the service area located at Sitio Obullan (above Km. 4) in Brgy. Pico, which is now being cultivated for high value crops such as cabbage and sayote.
La Trinidad, Benguet—Farmers of Sitio Obullan, Brgy. Pico of this town are now enjoying gardening with the availability of irrigation water brought about by the completion of Bayabas Pump Irrigation Project (PIP) this April.

Kapangan Mayor urges protection of water source as NIA turns over completed irrigation system to farmers

LGU, NIA officials urge irrigators on irrigation system maintenance

Mankayan, Benguet—Local officials in this municipality commended the Poy-ok Lip-atan Farmers Association for their cooperation in the completion of the Poy-ok Lip-atan Pump Irrigation Project (PIP) and urged them to maintain and strengthen their group as the key stakeholder of the project.

NIA turns over completed irrigation system to Benguet irrigators

Walk through and inspection of the completed diversion weir and other facilities of the Ambongdolan Communal Irrigation System in Tublay, Benguet was conducted by the farmer-members of the Tagek Kulas Irrigators’ Association, barangay officials together with officials from NIA and DAR before the system turnover on July 3, 2020.

PICE NIA Subchapter visits irrigation project in Benguet

The Philippine Institution of Civil Engineers (PICE) Quezon City Chapter-NIA Subchapter officers headed by Gertrudes Viado, PICE President and members of the Board of Directors visited the Bayabas Communal Irrigation System (CIS) located in Bayabas, Sablan, Benguet on April 5, 2019.

The activity is part of PICE’s 2019 Annual Directional Meeting with the objective of attaining professional excellence among its members.
