Minagbag FIA marches forward as Outstanding IA for CY 2020

Held at gunpoint, leaders of the Minagbag Farmers Irrigators’ Association (FIA) were forced to march along the service road of the Upper Chico River Irrigation System-Quezon area in Isabela.  At that time, the farmers were currently experiencing dry spell, and rotational schedule of irrigation delivery had to be implemented. NIA turns over five irrigation systems to Irrigators Associations in Ifugao

Tinoc, Ifugao—Five irrigation systems in this municipality will now be operated and maintained by organized Irrigators’ Associations (IAs) after the NIA turned over these systems to them in a simple ceremony on August 12, 2021 at the Municipal Gymnasium in Poblacion, Tinoc, Ifugao.

With a total project cost of 23.3 million pesos from various funds, these completed irrigation projects are currently irrigating 96 hectares with 199 farmer-beneficiaries.
