In a Cordilleran-inspired program during this Indigenous People’s Month, the NIA-CAR family welcomed Engr. Raymundo L. Calusin as its new Division Manager for the Engineering and Operation Division (EOD) at the office grounds in Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet on October 20, 2022.
A turnover ceremony was earlier held on October 14, 2022 at the NIA-Region IV-B (MIMAROPA) in Calapan, Mindoro between Engr. Calusin and Engr. Ronilio Cervantes, who is now the newly designated Regional Manager of NIA-Region IV-B (MIMAROPA).
“On behalf of the entire NIA-CAR family, we welcome you, Engr. Ray, as the official part of the NIA-CAR family. Your coming to CAR will be very advantageous, as we know you are bringing with you years of experience and expertise, especially in the operation,” stated Regional Manager Benito Espique, Jr.
IMO managers of Kalinga and Apayao IMOs, Provincial Heads of Satellite Offices of Abra, Benguet, Ifugao, and Mountain Province as well as the head of the Alfonso Lista Pump Irrigation Project (ALPIP) also expressed support to the new head of the EOD.
Before his designation as Acting Division Manager for Engineering and Operation, Engr. Calusin was Division Manager for Occidental Mindoro Irrigation Management Office (IMO) of NIA-Region IV-B (MIMAROPA).
Engr. Calusin said that while being assigned in a new environment will be challenging, the warm welcome and messages of support of the Cordillerans will be of help in his new designation.
